Originally built in 1907 when the railroad was beginning to create the town of Teague, Texas, the Teague Hotel became a respite for railroad travelers and employees. Its unique architectural design followed the angles of the rails. When it fell into disrepair, a group of interested citizens created the Teague Historical Preservation Society and set about raising money to save the hotel. By 2019 they had completely renovated the building, and they now operate its as an event center with five bedrooms for overnight stays. It is the perfect place to host events such as weddings, baby showers, retirement parties, family reunions, and more. The lower floor includes a full kitchen, while the upstairs observation room has a coffee bar and lounge area. If you are looking to host a large event, you can rent the entire hotel! This unique hotel is located next to the 1906 Railroad Depot which now houses the Burlington - Rock Island Museum. Nearby are thrift shops, a farmers' market, and local boutiques. This one of a kind hotel pays homage to days past with the comfort of today. Plan your next event at the historic Teague Hotel!
